Giles, John B.

John B. Giles (1788-1846) of Salisbury, NC, was a member of the Dialectic Society, graduated with a BA in 1808, and returned to Salisbury to become a lawyer. He served as Clerk of Superior Court for Rowan County, was a University trustee from 1828 to 1847, and was elected to the US Congress in 1829, serving for two years.
